Lyrics: There she stood in the street All right now, baby, it’s all right now I took her home to my place
All right now, baby, it’s all right now Yeah, it’s all right now Let me tell you all about now All right now, baby, it’s all right now All right now, baby, it’s all right now |
In honor of today’s sunny, spring-like weather here in the armpit of the Midwest, we here at Dances With Bass Radio are featuring an anthemic song—a song that is perfect for a high-speed, windows down, sunroof open rip through town—coppers be damned! Free was an English rock band formed in 1968 by Paul Rodgers (who would later go on to fame with Bad Company, The Firm, and Queen). While they produced several solid records, they only reached the charts once—their signature track, All Right Now. Free broke up in 1973, freeing Rodgers for an illustrious career as one of rock’s leading frontmen. The other members of the band went on to form lesser known bands. Lead guitarist Paul Kossoff died from drug-induced heart failure in 1976. More cowbell, my babies! More cowbell! Video: Here is a high-quality audio version of the track, including on-screen lyrics: Here is a live studio version of the track that features a slightly different drum mix and pumped up backing vocals: You Might Also Like:
