Lyrics:

When it all goes crazy and the thrill is gone
The days get rainy and the nights get long
When you get that feeling you were born to lose
Staring at your ceiling thinking of your blues

When there’s so much trouble that you wanna cry
The world has crumbled and you don’t know why
When your hopes are fading and they can’t be found
Dreams have left you waiting, friends have let you down

Just remember I love you and it’ll be all right
Just remember I love you more than I can say
Maybe then your blues will fade away

When you need a lover and you’re down so low
Start to wonder, but you never know
When it feels like sorrow is your only friend
Knowing that tomorrow you’ll feel this way again

When it feels like sorrow is your only friend
Knowing that tomorrow you’ll feel this way again

When the blues come calling at the break of dawn
Rain keeps falling, but the rainbow’s gone
When you feel like crying but the tears won’t come
When your dreams are dying, when you’re on the run

Just remember I love you and it’ll be all right
Just remember I love you more than I can say
Just remember I love you and it’ll be all right
It’ll be alright, it’ll be alright, it’ll be alright, well it’ll be all right

Tonight on Dances With Bass Radio, we’re in a mellow, groovy kind of mood, and nothing quite hits the mark like Firefall’s Just Remember I Love You. This track was the hit single from 1977’s Luna Sea. Firefall was formed in 1974 in Colorado and featured Rick Robert’s who had found previous success in The Flying Burrito Brothers. Firefall later featured Mark Andes, who has played bass for Spirit, Heart, and Jo Jo Gunne, and drummer Michael Clarke, who rose to fame in the 1960s with The Byrds (and sadly died of liver failure in 1993).

Firefall’s landed a number of Billboard hits, including You Are the Woman (1976), Strange Way (1978), Cinderella (1977), Headed for a Fall (1980), and Staying with It (1981) with female vocalist Lisa Nemzo.

Firefall still tours today, though without founding member Rick Roberts, or Michael Clarke.
