Lyrics: Oh, I, I just died in your arms tonight I keep looking for something I can’t get
Her diary sits by the bedside table Oh-oh-oh, whoa Oh, I, I just died in your arms tonight Is there any just cause for feeling like this? I’ve lost and found, it’s my final mistake Oh-oh-oh, whoa Oh, I, I just died in your arms tonight It was a long hot night Oh, I, I just died in your arms tonight Oh, I, I just died in your arms tonight Get It: Get your copy of Dommin’s Love Is Gone right here:

Yesterday on Dances with Bass Radio, we featured Death Valley Dreams, a band that brilliantly channels the best 1980s new wave and goth rock. Of course, listening to Death Valley Dreams led our music research staff to pull up another modern band that is producing 80s-infused goth rock. Dommin is a Los Angeles outfit led by vocalist and guitarist Kristofer Dommin. Our research staff stumbled across Dommin a few years ago, and many of its tracks feature prominently in our playlists, particularly today’s featured track—a dark cover of the Cutting Crew’s 80s hit, (I Just) Died In Your Arms, and the band’s own My Heart, Your Hands. Dommin is dark, loud, and dripping with sad mascara. In particular, the cover of (I Just) Died In Your Arms puts the right spin on a song whose sunny rhythm belied the true darkness of the lyrics. Dommin’s version captures the utter sorrow in a way that the Cutting Crew just didn’t with its 1986 hit. If you like the sound of Kristofer Dommin’s big voice, be sure to check out his YouTube videos. He puts an interesting spin on several classic songs, including Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game.
