Today on Dances with Bass Radio, we are switching gears entirely. How can we go from Alice in Chains one day to Elvis the next, you ask? Multiple personalities. That’s how. Seriously, The King needs no introduction and the music curators here at DWB Radio offer no excuses (that was a play on yesterday’s track, by the way). This groovy version of Bossa Nova Baby was remixed and remastered in 2014 and was used in Heineken television advertisements that same year. And for what it’s worth, good golly, miss molly, did Elvis have liquid hips. I’d try it myself, but I’m *this close* to needed dual hip replacements as it is, so I’ll leave the hip swirls to Elvis, thank you. Bossa Nova Baby was written and originally released by Tippie and the Clovers in 1962. In 1963, Presley’s version reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart and number 20 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart. Video: Here is the video for Elvis Presley’s Bossa Nova Baby (Viva Mix). The track has been remixed, remastered, and set to a new video using footage from Presley’s 1963 movie, Fun in Acapulco. And because I am a giver, I have also included audio from another remixed Elvis track, A Little Less Conversation (JXL Remix), also from The Ultimate Elvis Presley Party Album.
