Lyrics: Went to where the people were on a Saturday night If you don’t know or care you’ll be alright I surprised myself as my mouth started speaking Pardon the intrusion If you don’t know or care you’ll be alright Pardon the intrusion Went to where the people were on a Saturday night Pardon the intrusion Until it goes on and eats it with its blue and red orange |
This might be one of the best songs from a band you’ve never heard. matt pond PA hails from the City of Brotherly Love and puts out some of the lushest multi-instrumental tracks you’ll find. I am not exactly sure why the track is titled Halloween but I’ve always assumed that it has something to do with the masks we all wear in public when we’re in places where we don’t fit in. This song is for the misfits (like yours truly) who often feel like aliens wherever they go. This track holds the esteemed honor of making it into the playlist for my wedding reception. It’s the perfect song to accompany some good bourbon and even better friends and family. Video:
